Privacy Policy

Ovaio™ ("we", "us") operates ovaio.app and the Ovaio™ Chrome extension. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

1. What we collect

Website (ovaio.app): If you join our email list, we store your email address. When you create a journal account we store your email, profile (display name, condition, sensitivities, optional public username), symptom check-ins, flare events, scan events you save, treatment reminders, safe staples, cycle data, and report preferences. This data is stored securely in your account and only you can access it.

Chrome extension: Scan history, favourites, personal avoid list, and symptom logs are stored locally in Chrome storage. When you link your account, scans and symptoms you explicitly save sync to your health journal. Ingredient scanning runs on your device — we do not send full web page HTML to our servers.

Ovaio™ Pro AI: If you use Pro AI features, your questions and scan explanations may be processed to generate responses. We do not use your conversations to train models.

2. What we do NOT collect

  • Your full browsing history or page HTML from supported sites
  • Medical diagnoses or clinical records unless you enter them voluntarily
  • Scans you never choose to save to your journal

3. How we use your data

  • To personalise ingredient ratings and your health journal
  • To generate reports and share links you create
  • To send scheduled report emails if you opt in
  • To process Pro subscriptions

4. Service providers

We use trusted providers for hosting, authentication, payments, email delivery, and Pro AI features. They process data only to operate Ovaio™ on our behalf.

5. Share links & partner links

If you create a doctor share link or partner link, selected health data becomes readable to anyone with the URL (and PIN, if you set one) until the link expires or you revoke it.

6. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

You can access, export, or delete your journal data from Settings in the app, or by contacting us. Unlinking or uninstalling the extension stops new syncs; delete your account to remove cloud data.

7. Medical disclaimer

Ovaio™ is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
